Consciousness2: The Inevitability Of Who We Are

Play

I’ve decided that over the next several weeks I’m going to have Kara read excerpts from her book Breathing God, a Guide to Being Whole, even though she thinks it’s boring, and even though she hates the way her voice sounds over the radio.  (She’s such an obedient wife.) (When she wants to be.)

Cause I think it’s interesting and I think her voice is damn sweet.

Here’s my favorite sentence from today’s portion:

“Life is unjust; it requires us to be a self we can in no sense be said to have chosen, and then makes us look and feel wrong for having chosen badly.”
